![]() presented by New Paltz State University Gala Auction: OUR MENU This is a report on the TREMENDOUS success of the New Paltz State University Gala Auction of an "evening of food and wine with John Novi and Kevin Zraly" of which we were fortunate enough to win the bid. John and Kevin have been our friends for 40 years so we knew what to expect. On the evening of January 10, 2010 John came to our house and cooked the exotic, elegant food listed on the attached menu. He explained the ingredients and cooking style as each plated item was served. It was a gastronomic feast. Kevin Zraly came with six wines from his cellar - one to compliment each course. The specific wine is listed next to each course on the menu. Kevin entertained our guests with his usual humor and in-depth knowledge of the wine and region. He presented us with his latest book, "Kevin Zraly's Windows on the World Complete Wine Course". The book covers his travels the past year visiting 80 wine regions in 20 countries, tasting 4,000 wines and meeting 500 wine making professionals. The evening could not have been more enjoyable. I recommend that you encourage greater participation next year in the bidding for this feast if John and Kevin will agree to offer it. We received your report on raising $50,000 with the GALA event.
